Interview: Let The Wolves Speak

Recently, DutchMetalManiac’s Tim van Velthuysen interviewed Let The Wolves Speak.

Hey, how are you? Can you tell us about the history of Let The Wolves Speak?

The band Let The Wolves Speak started with Alex (guitarist) and Eric (drummer) in the Summer of 2015, Alex reached out to some friends to join as a guitarist, bassist and vocalist. We eventually ended up with Tommy (bassist), Austin (guitarist) and Jacob (vocalist).

For people not knowing Let The Wolves Speak (yet), how would you describe your music?

Our music is melodic and heavy. Slowly adapting different elements from other genres of music that we draw inspiration from.

When someone doesn’t know Let The Wolves Speak yet and you can choose one of your songs to present yourself, which song would that be?

I’ll have to go in the mindset of who we are presently at the moment as a band. A new song called Passerby for sure is what we’d all go with.

What makes Let The Wolves Speak unique?

I’d say our approach to different musical direction. All of us have different taste in music and that sometimes will reflect in what Let The Wolves Speak puts out.

Any cool future plans you can tell us something about?

We have some new songs that we will be releasing very soon. We are highly proud of them.

Any upcoming gigs for Let The Wolves Speak? Maybe coming to The Netherlands?

We’d love to come to The Netherlands!

Right now nothing solid, but all could change very soon.

How do you think your life would be without music?

Dull, boring and soulless.

What advice would you give to young and starting bands?

Definitely, make music for fun. Make music because you just truly enjoy. Make sure you and your band mates have good chemistry, that plays a huge role in being in a band. Be humble and encourage one another with your musical ideas.

Let us tell something about the new video.

The Lone One is a short story of someone just expressing that sometimes it’s okay to be alone. It’s not always to be looked at as a bad thing. Sometimes it can give you more clarity to your life.

Thanks for your answers! Is there anything you want to say to DutchMetalManiac’s readers?

Thank you for your interest and support! Keep supporting and encourage one another, and hopefully Let The Wolves Speak is given a chance to play in The Netherlands!
