Interview: NVision

Recently, DutchMetalManiac’s Tim van Velthuysen interviewed NVision’s drummer Nate.

Hey, how are you?

Good good, just gearing up for a busy rest of the year!

Can you tell us something about the history of NVision?

Well, NVision started out as a solo act consisting of just our singer Alex and he wanted to shift towards a little more rock approach and that’s where I (Nate) came in and started playing drums and then met our guitarist Kevin at our video shoot for our first single as a whole, She Said! Phil, our bass player came in a little later and added that missing piece and now we are a driving force!

For people not knowing NVision (yet), how would you describe your music yourself?

We are a newer approach to the rock genre with a few mixed herbs and spices in there. Add a little edm and casual romance of hip hop influences.

When someone doesn’t know NVision yet and you can choose one of your songs to present yourself, which song would that be?

Personally, our new single The End which is available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc. is one of my favorites to play live and it’s a good ice breaker!

What makes NVision unique?

We really live out the messages that are within our music and we are not afraid to stand up for those who need a voice. And anyone who has met us at shows knows we are a group of very humble guys!

Any future plans you can already tell us something about?

We are currently working on a few things including a new single that we got the jumpstart on the other day! There’s always something new in our world!

Any upcoming gigs for NVision? Maybe coming to The Netherlands?

We are about to hit the road again with our roster mates with Blind Anxiety Entertainment and great friends Gandhi’s Gun at the beginning of April! And we’d absolutely love to go to The Netherlands some day!

How do you think your life would be without music?

Sad haha, music has really been there my entire life through all the heartbreaks and lost and everything, life without music really isn’t possible.

What advice would you give to young and starting bands?

Practice and strive to chase the dream and whatever you do regardless of all the trials ahead don’t give up!

Thanks for your answers! Is there anything you want to say to DutchMetalManiac’s readers?

Thank you! A few plugs actually! Shoutout to our booking agent James at Blind Anxiety Entertainment, he’s a miracle worker. Knife Party Threads for all the Halloween lovers out there, it’s my (Nate) clothing line you can check me out here! Raze Energy! And The Sound who are doing amazing things and really helping give not just local bands but bands from all over a platform to really get their music out there! And shoutout to you, the reader cause without you guys believing in music and supporting bands and artists we wouldn’t be where we are!
