Cold Snap is a groove metal band from Varazdin, Croatia. The line-up is Jan Kerekes on vocals, Denis Roskaric on drums, Zoran Ernoic on bass and Leo Friscic on guitar. They already released an EP and two full-lengths and now their third full-length will be released. It is called World War 3 and will be released on January 13th.
World War 3 contains 12 tracks with an total length of 45 minutes. As said, they make groove metal, but there is more. Cold Snap is mixing metal with Eastern European song structures. Clean singing, screams, rapping and shouting, it is all in there. Sometimes it gives you the feeling that you are listening to a heavier, more metal version of System of a Down. World War 3 contains breakdowns, very melodic parts, very heavy parts full of shouting and changes of rhythms, which will change the whole song. All together, Cold Snap´s World War 3 is a very nice piece of music.
You like your metal also with mixes you don´t hear often? For example, with Eastern European song structures? If so, go listen to this album, you’ll love it!
I’m Tim van Velthuysen and I started DutchMetalManiac back in 2014. I’m 29 years old and I live in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Of course, I like metal, but I can also appreciate other musical styles.
In addition to DutchMetalManiac I also have a personal website on which I’ll post various things that won’t fit on DutchMetalManiac, but might be interesting for you as well. It’s in Dutch though.
