Review: Shining – IX – Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends

Shining doesn’t need an introduction, Niklas Kvarforth and his band are already a well-known band in the extreme metal scene. Today they unleash their ninth release IX – Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends upon the world.

IX – Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends has six tracks on it and two bonustracks, with one of them being a cover of Rammstein’s Ohne Dich. I only got the first six tracks, so I can’t tell you about the cover and the other bonustrack Black Industrial Eleven. I can only say that if they are as good as the rest of the album, it is very nice. While starting with an nice, but not so heavy intro, IX – Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends has a lot of different sides on it. After the intro Vilja & Dröm will blow you away. While you hear that Niklas Kvarforth has an amazing scream, you can hear that he has also an amazing dark, more clean voice. It is something you won’t expect of a vocalist in extreme metal. You can hear that Niklas Kvarforth, besides his amazing voice, also is musically a great mastermind. His music is very heavy, while it has very much emotions on it, I also hear a lot of progressive music influences in it. I think Shining has done a great job with this album!

Go listen to this masterpiece of Niklas Kvarforth and his men.
